10) Sydney Harbour

ASSALAMUALAIKUM AND SALAM SEJAHTERA

I like to share the most beautiful places in the world.
as we know, travel and tours is become popular because
of many people love to travel and search something new
and also want to spend their time with the peaceful places.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Australia's most well known and photographed landmarks.

It is the world's largest (but not the longest) steel arch bridge with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour.

Fondly known by the locals as the 'Coathanger', the Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrated its 70th birthday in 2002, with its official opening in March 1932.

Sydney Harbour is probably best seen first from the water.

When those who have never visited Australia think of that country, the picture in their mind's eye is, more often than not, that iconic image of Sydney harbour and its stunning opera house.

Sydney is a beautiful city anyway, but its fabulous location lifts it to a position where it is a genuine contender for the title of the world's most beautiful city.

Sydney is divided by Port Jackson, with the south and north shores linked by both the bridge and a tunnel. The busy waterfront of Circular Quay is packed with boats: harbour and river ferries, water taxis and cruisers all ply their trade from here, and many of Sydney's classic views can be seen from this spot.

The Rocks, as the rocky spur beneath the bridge is known, is the historic heart of the city and it was here that Captain Arthur Phillip formally established the colony of New South Wales in 1788, making it the first permanent European settlement in Australia.

In the 1970s this historic area was rescued from imminent demolition and the workers cottages, delapidated warehouses, winding alleys and rock-hewn steps were gradually renovated to become what is now a major tourist destination.

WHAT IS IT KNOWN FOR
